This milk kefir grains dried by a new advanced method: cold dry air. This method allows long term storage ( several months). They packed with a Silica Gel bag in order to keep dry conditions. It is designed for hot and humid summer conditions when regular grains spoil very often. Also, it is good to send these grains outside of the US: they will survive long trip. Place these kefir grains in a small amount of milk till it solidifies (usually 24-48 hours) before first use.
